An aversion to blue

Good morning one and all, it's time for our mid month inspirational post where each month a member of the DT share something using their least favourite colour or one they rarely work with.

Our current challenge of Sew Special.......... sewing related stamping, real sewing, faux sewing or even a 'so special' sentiment.......which you will find here runs until 30th September so there is still plenty of time to join in or enter a second or even third piece of work and the chance of winning the fab £35 store voucher from Stamp Addicts

And it seems it's rolled round to my turn, always so strange introducing myself so I will get straight to it and can say quite unequivocally that colour is blue. I have no idea why that is really, but I rarely wear blue and whenever I need to create something crafty using the colour I am immediately aware of a distinct shortage of anything to work with in that colourway.

The card I am sharing is not a recent make, in fact it was for a DT friends Birthday last year, made especially for her as her favourite colour is blue, as are Butterflies. I had it sitting in my photo folder and knew it would come in useful to blog at some point and today is that day and it just happens to have some sewing on it as well, so fits in with this months theme.

Happy crafting.

September challenge - Sew Special

Good morning and welcome to our September challenge and this month our theme is.....................

******Sew Special******

It can be sewing real or faux, sewing related images or embellishments or how about a 'So Special' sentiment, the choice is yours to interpret as you wish.

Usual rules apply, you can enter up to three times, combine with other challenges, use any make of stamp......but can I please remind you.........we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artworkIt so upsets us to see names come out in the draw who are not eligible for the prize because they have not read the rules.

This month's prize for one very lucky winner is a generous £35 store voucher from.....................

Stamp Addicts is a family run business based in Bedfordshire and have been in business since 1992. We have watched the popularity of rubber stamping and all papercrafts steadily increase over time and now manufacture our own branded rubber stamps which frequently feature on Create and Craft TV as well as craft shows across the UK.

And we have an extra prize which is a pair of tickets that can can be used by the winner on any of the show days for the November Hobbycraft Show at the NEC. Please note the prize is a joint ticket for two people and cannot be split individually.

Now for some inspiration from the Design Team starting with an introduction to Dora our new Design Team member. Dora was one of our very first winners back in 2010 and has been a regular entrant over the years and I am pleased to announce that she is now joining the team as a full time Design Team member, so please join me in offering her a big warm welcome.
